Selvin On The City
Alright, here’s the latest Selvin On The City Podcast – in which Steve Miller shares his insights about his early influences and the rockin’ Chicago blues he loves. Enjoy!
We are proud to introduce a new podcast, of Joel Selvin’s outstanding radio show, Selvin On The City. The first episode we’d like to share with you is Blaxploitation – a brilliantly curated set of great music from the 1970’s era of blaxploitation movie soundtracks, with comments from Selvin himself. It’s Rated R. Ask yo Mama.
Subverse
Here’s an ongoing podcast from music blogger and DJ extraordinaire, Subverse. Great electronic and hip-hop music.
Podcast v.2 is my personal favorite. A steady climb from 110 BPM to 130 BMP that is packed with all types of remixes that’s sure to set fire to your iPod. Tracks from all the big names in electronic music are represented here: Detroit techno king Matthew Dear, the UK’s post hip-hop team of Zero dB, reggae remixers Afrodisiac Sound System, and ‘favela on blast’ Blonde de Role. I even trough in some early dubstep (my how that genre has changed). Enjoy the ride!

Two years ago I selected 15 of my favorite hip-hop songs cherry picked from various sites that featured free music. The result is my podcast V.1. A live mix with some of the hottest hip-hop artist making noise with free music on the net. Enjoy underground songs from: Def Jux king pin E-LP, underground beat king Joe Beats, LA’s underground bird Pigeon John, San Francisco’s post hip-hop crew Tino Corp, and Brooklyn’s hip-hop legend Large Professor. Check back often for new quality mixes.
